WELCOME TO JUST A MINUTE! RADIO SEASON 6 1971-1972 |
||||||
Season length: 26 shows. Chairman: Nicholas Parsons (25 shows), Andree Melly (one show). Regular Panellists: Clement Freud (all shows), Kenneth Williams (all shows), Peter Jones (all shows). Semi-regular Panellists: Andree Melly (11 shows), Sheila Hancock (eight shows). Guest Panellists: Aimi Macdonald (two shows), Juno Alexander (two shows), Katharine Whitehorn (two shows), Nicholas Parsons (one show). Making A Debut: Peter Jones. Commentary: The introduction of Peter Jones is something of a turning point in the show's history, with his style of poking fun at himself and the show bringing to an end any idea that the game is something to be taken as a serious contest. Peter was filling in for Derek Nimmo overseas but quickly stood out as someone from whom more should be heard. Andree makes her only appearance as chairman. Andree and Sheila have clearly cemented their places as the most regular woman foils for the three male panellists. 90/6/1 Click here for transcript Broadcast date: 12 October 1971.
