David Hatch returns to the show, and Peter Jones earns for the first time a regular seat on the stage, the third. Previously he had moved around to fill a slot not held by either Kenneth, Clement, the guest or Derek. Peter Cook is an outstanding guest, well matched with Kenneth, Clement and Barry Took. The show has to take a brief break when the election is called and they don't have enough shows to get by without using one featuring Clement, at the time a senior figure in the Liberal Party.
