Commentary:
Pete Atkin takes on the first of five years in control of the JAM ship, and experiments a bit with the guests. Both Benny Green and Victoria Wood are late for a recording, leading to Ian Messiter taking a seat on the panel, his only appearance there. This season includes some very notable shows such as the ones with Victoria Wood and Elaine Stritch. Unusually Gyles Brandreth appears twice but at separate recordings. Examples of JAM at its very best.
