Making A Debut: Janey Godley, Pauline McLynn. Commentary: An outstanding season, one of the best in many years. Paul Merton in particular is at the peak of his considerable powers and a wisely judged selection of guests provides plenty of belly laughs. Julian Clary is as good as he has ever been, Ross Noble returns after a short absence and is at his best, and Charles Collingwood puts in some great performances. And 11 shows - more than usual for the summer season and meaning more JAM than in any year since 1983, equal with the 2003 season which included the 35th anniversary special. Beautiful. 651/49/1 Click here for transcript Broadcast date: 3 July 2006. Chairman: Nicholas Parsons. Panel: Paul Merton, Clement Freud, Julian Clary, Pauline McLynn.
